SEVIS NOTICE - October 15, 2008




To facilitate SEVIS Release 6.0 - Phase 1 testing for Batch approved schools and programs, the Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP) is announcing the launch of the SEVIS Alpha environment <https://alpha.ice.gov/sevis>.The Alpha environment will be opened for a 90-day Batch testing period starting tomorrow, Thursday, October 16th.The data in the Alpha environment is an exact copy of the data in the SEVIS Beta environment as of Thursday, October 9th.This means that your test schools/programs as well as all associated student/exchange visitor records and user names are the same as those in the Beta environment as of this date.




All of the enhancements/changes included with SEVIS Release 6.0 - Phase 1 are described in the "SEVIS Release 6 0 Batch System Changes - Phase 1" document that can be found on the SEVIS Batch page of ice.gov <http://www.ice.gov/sevis/schools/batch.htm>.Batch schools/programs may also find both the updated "Application Program Interface Document for the Student and Exchange Visitor Information System Batch Interface Release 6.0" and "SEVIS Lookup Tables" at this location.
