On 11/06/08, SEVP held a conference call on SEVIS Batch Alpha Release 6.0, to provide information and respond to pre-submitted questions.
SEVP advised that if the schemas a school or program's batch software uses are not updated as specified in the SEVIS 6.0 API, those schools/programs will be unable to do the following through Batch (although these updates/actions will be available in RTI):

- Edit existing OPT
- Extend OPT
- Report OPT Participation
- Indicate a Filed or Waitlisted Cap-Cap Extension
- Create an EV in the Student Intern Category
