Dear Editors:

I congratulate you for the long-overdue articles concerning religion and international education (the interview with John Esposito in January/February and the article about Muslim student needs on U.S. campuses in the March/April issue of International Educator). In my own Ph.D. research on the religious experiences of Muslim students, I found six themes: (1) growing religious awareness; (2) struggle to maintain religious vitality; (3) development of an Islamic apologetic; (4) heightened Islamic identity; (5) appreciation for the pluralism of the U.S. university; and (6) critical reflection on religion.

I hope to see more articles on religion and international education.
