Mentees

Are you a new international education professional?

If so, we encourage you to sign up for a mentor! Region VII is interested in helping new international education professionals to learn about NAFSA, professional development resources, and make professional and personal contacts to assist when you have questions.

Our mentor program will match you up with a colleague working in your professional area who has been in Region VII for at least one year and has attended a Region VII conference. Your mentor has committed to assisting you throughout the conference. Our hope is that your mentor will continue to be a resource for you after the conference.

In addition, this year we are offering a special session for newcomers, International Education 101, which will be at 11 AM. Following this, you can join your mentor for the Opening luncheon. We hope you will attend with your mentor. Application deadline October 9th.

Mentors

Want to be a mentor?

Region VII is again offering a conference mentor program to welcome our new international education professionals to NAFSA and the region. With this program we hope to provide new members with conference navigation tools, networking opportunities with fellow professionals, as well as help them get acquainted with our region.

If you have been a Region VII member for at least one year and have attended a Region VII conference in the past, we would love to have you volunteer to be a mentor! While the commitment is for the duration of the conference, we hope that you will continue to be a resource to your mentee.
