The Region VI Team provides a leadership structure for conducting the business of the region and is composed of members who serve functional (treasurer, registrar, etc.) and/or representative (state representative, IEM representative, etc.) roles.

A commitment to the team provides valuable professional development. Obligations include attending team training in early spring of each year, the regional and national NAFSA conferences, and a post-regional conference team meeting. Most team positions require a commitment of two years, with the possibility of extending for a third year. All team members must be members of NAFSA. Self-nominations for team positions are encouraged.

Terms begin January 1 unless otherwise noted.

Applications to join the NAFSA Academy for International Education as a coach for 2023 are now open. This is an opportunity to contribute your expertise, give back to the field of international education, and develop the next generation of NAFSA leaders. Coaches guide new professionals as they explore all aspects of the field. The application process opens on April 15th and closes on June 15th.
