• All presenters are required to register and attend the NAFSA 2023 Annual Conference & Expo in Washington, D.C. All presenters will receive a 20% discount on their conference registration fee. This 20% discount can be used on any registration type.

To ensure a quality conference program, the conference registration deadline for all presenters is April 7, 2023 (before the early bird registration deadline). Please let us know if you anticipate any challenges in meeting this deadline by emailing the NAFSA Conference Program team.

• Your session was selected for the program based on the content priorities developed by the Annual Conference Committee. We will not be able to offer any sessions virtually at NAFSA 2023.
• Session presenters will be notified of their acceptance by mid-November. Please confirm your participation by December 15, 2022.
• If not all presenters on your session are able to accept the invitation to present, you have the option of either completely declining the invitation for your entire session or changing/adjusting the roster of presenters for your session. Please let us know if you have any questions on this.

An individual may be listed in any number of proposals; however, once accepted, it is NAFSA’s policy that an individual, regardless of role, may present in no more than two conference sessions. Note: this does not include poster fair presentations or workshop trainings.

The number of presenters listed in a proposal should reflect the needs of the format selected.

• For 50-minute sessions, career center presentations, and global partner sessions a maximum of four individuals (including the chair) are permitted.
• For 25-minute (express) sessions, a maximum of two individuals (including the chair) are permitted.

Presenter changes can be made by filling out this form.

• To cancel, please notify NAFSA in writing by contacting the sessions team.
• All cancellations of a presentation should be made as soon as possible.
• To receive a refund on your individual registration please contact NAFSA’s registration vendor by April 22, 2023, at the latest.

• All posters were selected for the program based on the content priorities developed by the Annual Conference Committee and Poster Selection Committee. We require all presenters to attend the 2023 NAFSA conference to present their poster in person.
• All accepted poster presenters are expected to also upload a digital format of their poster as a companion to the online experience. We ask that presenters upload a digital image of their poster and a 3-minute audio recording.

Poster submitters will be notified via email of their proposal’s status by mid-February 2023, and will have until February 24, 2023, to accept the invitation to present.

• An individual may be listed in any number of proposals; however, once accepted, it is NAFSA’s policy that an individual, regardless of role, may present in no more than two posters in the same theme.
• A maximum of two individuals (including the chair) are permitted to present on a poster.  
• Presenter changes can be made by filling out this form.

All CTW Trainers are required to register and attend the NAFSA 2023 Annual Conference & Expo in person in Washington, D.C. All presenters, including CTW Trainers, will receive a 20% discount on their registration fee. This 20% discount can be used on any registration type.

• CTW proposal submitters will have until December 15, 2022, to accept and confirm the invitation to present.  
• If you are not able to accept the invitation, please contact the workshops team immediately. 

NAFSA follows COVID-19 safety protocols as required by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the World Health Organization, and the local ordinances of the District of Columbia, which currently do not require proof of vaccination or masking. Should the mandates change, NAFSA reserves the right to adjust conference attendance policies accordingly.

NAFSA strongly encourages COVID-19 vaccination and boosters, as vaccines are recommended as a proven way to prevent the threat of critical illness. Many attendees may still choose to wear masks indoors, and we ask that all attendees respect those who elect to do so. NAFSA recommends attendees self-test before leaving home for the conference. If you feel ill on-site, please remain in your hotel room and test to determine your health status.

NAFSA education programs at the annual conference are learning experiences and are noncommercial. Under no circumstances should a preconference workshop, general conference session, or poster presentation be used for direct promotion of a presenter's product, service, or other self-interest.

NAFSA is a nonprofit organization and please know that your registration fees conference fees help to pay for the conference venue and all related expenses, as well as to support NAFSA’s operating expenses throughout the year. Your registration fees help to sustain all NAFSA programming at the annual conference and throughout the year.
