
Meredith Henderson, EdD
Meredith Henderson is the executive director at Go Global NC. She is responsible for overseeing and leading the development and execution of programs for educators, policy, and community leaders and business executives. She is a member of the NC Coalition for Global Competitiveness, the US Global Leadership Coalition North Carolina Advisory Committee, and previously served as the Intercultural Communication and Training (ICT) Network Leader for the Teaching, Learning, and Scholarship Knowledge Community (TLS KC) with NAFSA, and is a member of NAFSA’s Trainer Corps.
Henderson has served in roles of increasing responsibility at Go Global NC since 1999. Her experience includes leading and organizing programs to Mexico, Netherlands, Ghana, Sweden, New Zealand, India, Ireland, China, Denmark, Finland, Singapore, Germany, Japan, Malaysia and South Africa. She has collaborated with East Carolina University to present a conference on best education practices for new Latino/Hispanic students in North Carolina, drawing on experiences and findings of educators who participated in Go Global NC programs to Mexico; and she has co-presented at the International Transformative Learning Conference on the use of dialogue groups to enhance learning.
Henderson earned her EdD in adult and community college education and a master of technology for international development/sociology from North Carolina State University, and a BA in French studies from Mount Holyoke College. She has worked in France and Canada and has a personal goal of joining the Travelers’ Century Club for people who have visited 100 or more countries and territories.
