About the author: Kate Moore, EdD, is an international educator energized by connecting campuses, communities, and companies across the globe. Her previous roles include vice president of the Academic Internship Council within the CIEE family, director of internships at American University Washington Semester, and government relations and curriculum manager at Close Up Foundation. Among her leadership positions are those with NAFSA’s Internships, Service Learning, and Research Abroad Member Interest Group; The Forum on Education Abroad’s Internship Taskforce; and the New England Association of Cooperative Education and Field Experience.
