The Pre-Recording Process & Orientation
Our production vendor, Freeman, will conduct your session recording during a scheduled time that works for everyone. Recordings will take place in the first few weeks of April and we will reach out to you to after the orientation to begin scheduling. On the day of the event, you will join us for the live playback of the recording, and then be pushed through for live Q&A.
Speaking of orientation, we are delighted to invite you to join us and Freeman for an orientation about what to expect on the day of your pre-recording and during the conference itself, as well as how to best prepare for your recording. The orientation for sessions that are pre-recorded and scheduled for live Q&A is Mar 23, 2021 at 2:00 PM Central Time (US and Canada). A link to join is below:
If you cannot attend on that day and time, we will send a link to view the recording. Ideally, at least one person from your session can attend the orientation.
Be ready to share your materials (PDFs, handouts, slides) with us by April 15. You’ll upload them directly into our file management system using a forthcoming link.
Crafting a Successful Online Presentation
Together with our fearless NAFSA Trainer Corps colleagues, we are proud to share with you a library of training videos to help you ensure that you’re making the most of your pre-recorded presentation and live interaction! Reminders
Finally, a few housekeeping items:
- If you have not already, don’t forget to sign the video release waiver ASAP. Each presenter must do so individually. If you are on two panels, please only fill in this waiver once.
- Confirm or update your name, professional title, educational degree, affiliation, and biography for use in the online schedule. Log into your NAFSA profile and make any updates by the end of the month.
- If you need to make a change to any presenters on your session, please let us know by March 31 by emailing us directly at [email protected]. New speakers need to complete the above steps.
- Register for the conference! As a reminder, per our presenter policy, we ask all presenters to register for the event. Early bird registration ends April 15, and we encourage all speakers to register before then to take advantage of early bird savings.
