Transnational education is no longer a niche strategy. QS reports that UK TNE enrollment grew 37% since 2020/21 to nearly 670,000 students — almost matching the number of international students studying at UK institutions themselves. At the same time, U.S. institutions face real pressure at home, with IIE reporting a 17% drop in new international enrollment for 2025–26 and an estimated $1.1 billion hit to the U.S. economy.

This session brings together three vantage points on the TNE ecosystem: a global higher ed insights and ratings leader, a strategic growth specialist working across a 45-market university network, and an education group spanning short courses, study abroad, and full-degree delivery. The group will unpack what’s fueling TNE’s momentum in 2026 and what institutions should prioritize to grow by design, not by default. International educators will leave with a clearer picture of which TNE models fit which institutional goals, sharper questions to bring to potential partners, and a view of where the field is headed next.
