NAFSA is proud to be an official signatory of the Climate Action Network for International Education (CANIE) Accord and to champion environmentally sustainable practices throughout the international education sector. The NAFSA 2024 Annual Conference & Expo will take place at the LEED Gold-certified Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, Louisiana. NAFSA is committed to actions that minimize waste and environmental impact, such as distributing reusable water bottles and responsibly sourced tote bags and partnering with eco-conscious vendors like Freeman. This commitment extends beyond the conference, as NAFSA continually integrates sustainable practices throughout the year and into the future.

Community Engagement 

NAFSA 2024 celebrates diversity and fosters inclusivity through the theme of "Resilience. Renewal. Community." NAFSA 2024 programming features individuals who make a difference in their communities and promote equity in international education. With more than 35 member interest groups and inclusive facilities, NAFSA strives to create an environment where every member feels valued and empowered.

NAFSA prioritizes the health and wellbeing of all attendees. Each day of the NAFSA 2024 Annual Conference & Expo begins with wellness activities, and conference programming throughout the week focuses on resilience, mental health, and safety at home and abroad.
