Aaron Mendez
Aaron Mendez is the International Student Advising Manager at Arizona State University, where he leads advising efforts that support international students in maintaining their immigration status while navigating academic, cultural, and institutional systems throughout their time at the university. Aaron holds two Bachelor’s degrees in Japanese and Asian Studies from the University of Utah and a Master’s degree in International Education from the School for International Training (SIT) Graduate Institute. His academic and professional experiences reflect a strong commitment to global engagement, intercultural learning, and international student success. Aaron is actively involved with NAFSA: Association of International Educators in Region II. He completed the NAFSA Academy for International Education in 2024 and currently volunteers on the Knowledge Community for International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS) Regional Liaison team, where he helps connect regional members with professional resources, supports conference programming, and contributes to conversations on emerging trends and best practices in international student services.
