Aurian Eghbalian

An Iranian-American who grew up in Birmingham, Alabama, Aurian Eghbalian is the Education Abroad Advisor for the University of Alabama's Culverhouse College of Business. Before she joined UA in December 2019, Aurian attended the Middlebury Institute of International Studies, where she received her M.A. in International Education Management.  She is also a proud alumna of the Japan Exchange and Teaching Program (JET) where she taught in English in Miyazaki prefecture from 2015 to 2018. During her short time at UA, Aurian has focused on making study abroad more accessible to under-served populations, such as distance learners.  She looks forward to developing her skills as an international educator in the NAFSA Rise Fellowship program.
