Beth Smith
Dr. Beth A. Smith, EdD, is a distinguished graduate of Northeastern University's Doctor of Education program, specializing in Higher Education Administration. Holding a Master of Arts in Law & Diplomacy from the Fletcher School at Tufts University and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Maine, Orono, Beth has accumulated 30 years of dedicated experience as a Higher Education Administrator. Beth's career commenced at Tufts University, where she played pivotal roles in the Finance Division. She transitioned to Northeastern University as the Associate Director of Enrollment Research. Her commitment to international student success is evident through her involvement in strategic groups and coordination of the International Student Barometer Survey. Currently serving as the Director of Boston-based Pathway Programs at NU Global, Beth oversees NU Immerse, an undergraduate pathway program, and Global Pathways, a graduate pathway program. Her responsibilities include collaborating with faculty, leading a team of advisors, ensuring program success through analysis and evaluation, and fostering strategic relationships within Northeastern University. Beth's teaching experience includes serving as a part-time lecturer at Northeastern University College of Professional Studies, where she imparted knowledge on various topics, including Business of International Education and Legal Issues in International Higher Education.
