Bill Colona

Bill Colona is a public policy professional with nearly 14 years of combined experience in higher education, the United States Congress, and the nonprofit sector, and currently serves as Fordham University's Assistant Vice President for Government Relations, Federal and Urban Affairs. In this capacity, Bill is responsible for engaging elected and appointed officials, and select agencies, to advance the University's legislative and regulatory agenda; conducting public policy research and analysis; and advising leadership on issues of public policy that may impact the institution and its stakeholders. Bill serves on the Board of Trustees of SBH Health System/Saint Barnabas Hospital and the Board of Directors of the Fordham Road Business Improvement District and the Westchester Public Issues Institute. A product of, and champion for, Catholic and Jesuit higher education, Bill earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Scranton, his master's degree from Georgetown University, and is currently a Ph.D. student at Fordham University.
