As the Assistant Director for Study Abroad Advising in International Academic Programs (IAP) at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Carmen serves as the study abroad advisor for a small portfolio of faculty led programs including the Global Gateway Initiative, and the Summer and Global Launch programs. She also supports the stewardship of these programs through work with campus partners and the advising community. Prior to her time at UW-Madison, Carmen worked as an International Program Coordinator in the study abroad office at Arizona State University working with Short Term Faculty Led Summer programs. She holds a BS in Art and Spanish Education and an MS in Global Higher Education. Before earning her master’s degree, Carmen worked for 13 years teaching Spanish in Wisconsin.
