Chelsea Kindred, MFA, is senior director of co-curricular learning, engagement, and assessment at Academic Programs International (API) where she develops and manages curriculum design and digital learning environments, including the API Learning and Engagement digital badge program, to engage students and support institutional partners in offering transformative learning experiences anytime, anywhere.

=As a first-generation college student, Chelsea is committed to expanding access and outlining a clear return on investment for experiential learning by leveraging curriculum design and technology. Chelsea regularly presents at state, regional, and national conferences and has keynoted many student conferences and events.

Chelsea co-authored “Making Meaning of Education Abroad: A Journal for the Returnee Experience” and wrote the chapter “Re-Entry: Advising Strategies and Programming” in NAFSA’s Guide to Education Abroad: 4th Edition. Chelsea is a recipient of the NAFSA Region III Outstanding Service to International Education award.
