Chrissie Faupel, PhD
Chrissie Faupel, PhD is the Director of International Affairs, leading the institution's global engagement efforts. She has over a decade of experience in international education.
Chrissie received a PhD in Educational Leadership and Policy from the University of South Carolina, an MA in International Education from SIT Graduate Institute (VT), and a BA in International Studies & French from the University of South Carolina. She has lived and worked in France, Mexico, South Korea, Thailand, and Senegal. She has directed study abroad programs in Canada, Aruba, France, and Italy.
Chrissie is dedicated to increasing access and opportunities for students to have a global experience. She believes strongly in the power of international education and is actively involved in the field through NAFSA: Association of International Educators, AIEA, and the Forum on Education Abroad. A native of Alabama, Chrissie is married with two children. She is a gardener, a francophile, a fermento, a bread baker, an enthusiastic backyard flock owner, and a world traveler.
