Dr. Gillian Bowser

Gillian Bowser is a faculty within Warner College of Natural Resources at Colorado State University. Her research focuses on ecological indicators of climate change and nature-based solutions using the frameworks of the United Nations Climate Change Convention. Her research explores pollinator insects, biodiversity loss, and mountain ecosystems through global collaborations. She contributes to the U.S. National Climate Assessment and is a lead author for the UN Environment Programme’s Global Environment Outlook. Bowser previously served as a wildlife biologist with the U.S. National Park Service and was a AAAS Science and Diplomacy Fellow. She currently serves on the executive committee of the International Union of Biological Sciences. She holds degrees from Northwestern, Vermont, and Missouri-St. Louis.
