Edward Michael Roekaert

Edward Roekaert has been the rector of the Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas (UPC) since 2014. In 2021, he became the president of the university. Before joining UPC, he was the rector at Universidad San Ignacio de Loyola where he held the positions of founding dean and faculty member of the School of Hospitality and Tourism, vice-rector of internationality, and vice-rector of academic affairs.

Roekaert is currently a Western Association of Schools and Colleges accreditation commissioner, president of MetaRed IT Peru, and board member of the Federation of Private Universities of Peru, the UNESCO IESALC’s Presidents Network for Sustainability, Casa Andina Hotels, and Universia Peru.
