Elena Anderson-de Lay
Elena Anderson-de Lay is a business strategy consultant specializing in business immigration, relocation, and Duty of Care among other issues impacting global business operations. Elena previously worked at The Brookings Institution, the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) and on NAFSA staff.
Her NAFSA leadership experience includes serving on the Knowledge Community for International Student and Scholar Services (KCISSS) as the International Scholar Advising (ISCA) Network leader; two previous terms on the Leadership Development Committee; the Trainer Corps; as a Local Arrangements co-chair on the Annual Conference Committee; and, as a mentor in the Diversity Impact Program. Elena brings member-leader experience from other associations such as the Society of Human Resource Management, the Council for Global Immigration, the Forum for Expatriate Management, and the Worldwide Employee Relocation Council where she received two Distinguished Service awards.
A frequent presenter at NAFSA’s national and regional conferences, Elena has a passion for building bridges and leading at every level.
