Griselda Olveda

Griselda Olveda is a seasoned International Professional with almost 10 years of experience supporting international students and scholars in higher education. She currently serves as the International Visitor Advisor at UTHealth Houston, where she assists with the university’s J-1 Exchange Visitor Program and provides comprehensive support to global researchers, physicians, and faculty. Griselda has played a critical role in ensuring compliance, fostering cultural integration, and enhancing the scholar experience. Her previous spanned roles have been in International Admissions, Student Services, and Crisis Intervention. Additionally, she has advised hundreds of international students on F-1 regulations, including CPT, OPT, STEM-OPT and SEVIS Compliance throughout her career. Griselda is deeply committed to fostering culturally aware environments and is passionate about helping international professionals thrive in academic and clinical settings. She is an advocate for creating welcoming environments for international visitors and strives to bring a human-centered approach to international advising.
