Ian Gibson

Ian Gibson is the dean of San Diego State University’s (SDSU) Global Campus (GC), leading a portfolio of more than 500 programs in international, online, and professional education. Collectively, GC serves more than 10,000 learners worldwide each year and oversees many of SDSU’s global operations across Asia, Europe, and Oceania, including over 200 partnerships in 37 countries that expand access to SDSU degrees, certificates, and ESL programs. Gibson’s financial oversight experience includes profit and loss responsibility for an annual, self-supporting budget exceeding $40 million. Earlier in his career, he worked as an intellectual property attorney and in the entertainment industry as a session musician and composer.
