Jacob Schoofs

Jacob Schoofs (he/him) serves as Assistant Director for Program & Data Management at Northwestern University’s Global Learning Office (GLO). He oversees the advising, management, and recruitment for a portfolio of exchange, partner, and university-led programs. In addition, he leads the technology, data collection, and reporting structures within the office. Professionally, Jacob has held previous positions at Loyola University Chicago and AFS-USA. He holds a BA Area Studies from Lake Forest College and a MA/MSc in European Studies from the Europa-Universität Flensburg in Germany.

He currently serves as President of the International Educators of Illinois after having served as Vice-President, Education Abroad Representative, and Mentorship program coordinator. Having had transformative experiences living, studying, and working abroad throughout various points in his life, Jacob strives to empower students to make the most out of their study abroad experiences, creating lasting impact for the student as well as their host communities.
