Jessica Calhoun, PhD

Jessica Calhoun, Ph.D. is the Associate Dean of Admissions at The American College of the Mediterranean (ACM) and its study abroad division, the Institute for American Universities (IAU).  In her role at ACM-IAU she oversees institution-wide enrollment, program development, university relations, and risk management.  Prior to ACM-IAU, Jessica served as the Associate Director of International Studies Abroad at the University of San Diego where she managed all undergraduate study abroad programs, including short-term faculty-led and specialized programs as well as semester-long partner programs.  As a seasoned international educator who has worked in the field for 15 years, she has conducted research and shared her findings and expertise at numerous conferences including The Forum on Education Abroad, NAFSA, AIEA, Diversity Abroad, and CIEE.  Jessica earned her bachelor’s degree in Spanish and Latin American Studies from the University of San Diego, her master’s in teaching from Chapman University, and her Ph.D. in Leadership Studies from the University of San Diego.
