Jessica Chandarlis (she/her) serves as the Associate Director of the Office of International Programs at the University of Texas at Tyler, where she has played a pivotal role in building the university's study abroad culture. Her approach is marked by a strong commitment to collaborative faculty engagement, allowing her to design and develop study abroad initiatives that align with academic goals and student interests. She also acts as a vital link between the university and partner providers, fostering essential global acad emic connections. As a first - generation person of Mexican - descent, she understands the transformative power of studying abroad. Her international experiences enriched her life and inspired her parents to explore the world. Now, she's dedicated to making st udy abroad accessible for all students, aiming to broaden its positive impact on communities. Jessica commenced her professional journey in her hometown, Laredo, a border community in Texas, at Texas A&M International University. Her unwavering dedication to enhancing the study abroad experience and her commitment to fostering global perspectives have solidified her position as a leading advocate for international education in her community.
