Kassity Veloz

Kassity is the International Student Visa Specialist at UC Merced, where she serves as the primary advisor for all F-1 and J-1 students. She holds a Master’s degree in International Education Management from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey and brings experience from both large and small international offices, having previously worked in the ISS office at UC San Diego. Kassity’s passion for international education began during her three years teaching English in Japan, where she immersed herself in the culture and traveled extensively throughout the country. She is especially passionate about supporting international students through creating inclusive spaces where students feel seen and encouraged throughout their academic journey.
