Barcelona Study Abroad Experience (SAE)

Kyle Keith (he/him/his) works for Barcelona Study Abroad Experience (SAE) where he cultivates relationships with college and university partners and spearheads the organization's systemic, award-winning TODOS (The Outcomes-Based Diversity Strategy) commitment. Prior to Barcelona SAE, Kyle worked for 6+ years in education abroad advising roles at NC State University and Wofford College. While at NC State, Kyle received multiple professional accolades including: NAFSA Region VII's "New Professional Award," NC State's TRIO Programs' "Staff Champion Award," and an IIE American Passport Project Grant. In addition to his work at Barcelona SAE, Kyle volunteers with both the North Carolina Association of International Educators (NCAIE) and NAFSA's EAKC Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Subcommittee. A frequent contributor to field-wide conversations on LGBTQIA+ student support and development, Kyle's work and advocacy featured prominently in NAFSA's recent publication: "Advising LGBTQ+ Students in International Education." A first-generation college student from the rural Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina, Kyle was able to study abroad thanks to the Gilman Scholarship Program; an experience which served as a catalyst for his enduring interests in widening access to education abroad for more students.
