Marcia Henisz

Senior Director of International Health, Safety and Security
Drexel University

Marcia Henisz is the senior director of international health, safety and security at Drexel University. Her work focuses on the management and mitigation of international risk for all travelers at the University, including incident response, strategy and policy development and education of travelers. She has worked in international education for over 20 years in several roles including study abroad advising, program development and coordination of inbound exchange students. She is an active member of the OSAC AWG and PULSE and has presented on safety and security strategies at NAFSA and OSAC conferences. She served as the Chair of the OSAC AWG from 2018-2020 and is currently a member of its steering committee. Her focus in this area comes primarily from a desire to support lifelong international understanding and learning. A former French teacher, Marcia graduated from the University of Virginia with a BA in French and an MT in foreign language education.
