Matthew has been in the field of International Education for over 15 years and hold an MA in International Education Management from the Monterrey Institute of International Studies. Since 2015, he has been working for the University of California, first at Berkeley then at UCSF where he is currently the Lead Immigration Advisor. His previous experiences with NAFSA include serving as the Region XII Regulatory Ombudsman for Scholar (2018 - 2020) and Chair of the Technology MIG (2019 to 2021).
