Mattie Stevens

Mattie Stevens is the first in her family to go to college and has enjoyed studying abroad as part of her educational experience (at the University of Stirling in Scotland, Innsbruck in Austria, as well as LaTrobe University in Australia). She encourages everyone to consider the opportunity to see and understand culture and context in other countries. Mattie currently serves as assistant director of the Global Engagement Office at Duke University. In addition to studying and traveling abroad, Stevens has traveled across the United States, living in New Hampshire, Nevada, Texas and Georgia, as well as the places she pursued her degrees. She is originally from Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
