Rachael Elliott is the Director of Comprehensive [Immigration] Advising in the Office of Global Services at Northeastern University. Her educational background includes a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance Performance (Dominican University of California), coursework in Mandarin at Minzu University of China, and a Master of Education in Higher Education Administration (Northeastern University). Rachael began her career as a contemporary dancer, working as an artist in the Netherlands, China, and Germany for over seven years. She returned to the U.S. in 2017 and worked at Massachusetts International Academy and Brandeis University prior to joining Northeastern in 2022. Rachael has been an active NAFSA member since 2017, participating in numerous conferences, graduating from the NAFSA Management Development Program, and serving as a Mentor (and mentee!) within Region XI's Mentor/Mentee program. Rachael's educational and leadership philosophies are grounded in accessibility, community building, inclusivity, social justice, and cultural humility, and she is thrilled to serve as Region XI's inaugural Diversity and Access Representative.
