Mia Scavone, MA

Mia Scavone has served as the program director at the MiraCosta Community College International Office for 22 years. In this role, Mia is responsible for international student services, international partnerships, international admission and recruitment, study abroad programming, and supporting international curriculum and faculty development efforts. Mia graduated with a bachelor’s degree in international studies from the University of Oregon and holds a master’s degree in higher and adult continuing education from the University of Michigan. Mia has served as a leader in NAFSA and the San Diego PIER Group, as well as presented at many conference events and the San Diego PIER Group.
