Program Coordinator
Columbia University
RISE Fellow

Morgan Shakoor studied International Business at Howard University, where she was encouraged to study abroad to supplement her studies. After spending a semester studying in Costa Rica, she became a peer advisor at the Ralph Bunche Center to provide other students with resources for their learning journeys abroad. After graduation, she spent a year in Spain, where she taught English in public elementary schools. This inspired her to dedicate her career to helping underrepresented students gain access to international educational exchange opportunities. Since then she has worked at CIEE as an International Operations Coordinator, and she currently works as a Program Coordinator at Columbia University. She strives to increase access to global learning opportunities for students of all backgrounds. In her free time, Morgan enjoys salsa dancing, going to the gym, and reading.
