Nico Gareca
Nico grew up in Allentown, Pennsylvania, in an Argentine-American family. Forever a lover of languages, he went to Temple University, where he studied English, Spanish Literature, and Mandarin Chinese. After completing a yearlong language program at Xiamen University in China, he returned to Asia as a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant Grantee to Taitung, Taiwan. He then completed his Master of Education in Bilingual Education at the University of Minnesota and currently works at Clark University as an Academic Specialist in the American Language and Culture Institute.
Nico lives in a farm cooperative where he enjoys shoveling compost, running, baking bread, and playing music at farmers' markets in his free time. He is thrilled to be serving as the Rhode Island State Rep.
