Rachel Scholten

Rachel Scholten is Director of International Admission at Loyola University Maryland where she manages international recruitment, credential evaluation, and admission at the undergraduate level. Prior to this position she worked in international admission at Kent State University, Ohio University, and Fairleigh Dickinson University, traveling widely and assisting international students at all levels of study, from ESL to Ph.D. Ms. Scholten has been involved with NAFSA for a decade, presenting at state, regional, and national-level NAFSA conferences, writing book chapters, and previously served as the Region VIII IEM KC Liaison. She is currently the Vice President of the Maryland International Education Consortium which houses Study Maryland, and previously served on the board of Study New Jersey. Ms. Scholten holds a BA in Sociology from University of Pittsburgh, an MA in International Development from Ohio University, and graduate certificates in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies and Teaching English Language Learners.
