Shane M. Lanning

Shane Lanning currently serves as curriculum specialist in the Office of Academic Systems at Ball State University. He has an MA in linguistics and teaching English to speakers of other languages. In his previous work, he taught in an intensive English program and worked in an international office where he supported international students as they navigated a dual degree program. Shane has a passion for promoting internationalization, inclusivity, and diversity on campus, and he hopes that students with varying gender identities and sexual orientations will find safe spaces on campus regardless of their other identities (e.g. international student, athlete, etc.). He recently completed his tenure as co-editor of the NAFSA Rainbow SIG Newsletter.
