Stina Dufour is a scholar-practitioner active in academic affairs and globalization of higher education, currently serving as Academic Dean of Global Programs at CEA Study Abroad. In this role, Stina ensures that there is a consistent approach to academic quality, processes and procedures at CEA’s study centers. She joined CEA after more than ten years at NYU Steinhardt, where she worked closely with department chairs and faculty from across the school to co-create courses offered in coordination with NYU's study sites as well as other international partners. As a leader, Stina is committed to continuous staff development and process improvement in order to make her teams as effective as possible. Her current research interests center on student development, namely: long-term outcomes assessment, identity development, and the experiences of American heritage-seekers. Stina earned an EdD in Higher Education Administration and an MA in International Education, both from New York University. She earned a BA in Sociology and Scandinavian studies, magna cum laude, from North Park University, and is an alumna of NAFSA's Academy for International Education.
