Tammy Orahood, MA, EdD is the Director of Global Programs for the Brown School at Washington University in St. Louis where is works with all aspects of global education including global immersion courses, international student support and programming, global teaching and learning, and international enrollment. Tammy has a Doctor of Education in Educational Policy, Organization and Leadership with a concentration in Global Studies in Education from the University of Illinois and a master’s degree in international Affairs from American University. She was a Fulbright Scholar in Paris, France, completed a job share with CIEE in Sevilla, Spain, and studied abroad in Rennes, France. She has over twenty-five years’ experience in global education at three separate universities, and has authored articles, taught courses, and presented at numerous conferences on topics such as study abroad and career development, globalization, global competency, and comparative education policy.
