Vaughn Thornton

As a high school student in Detroit Public Schools, I was exposed to some of the most multifaceted parts of our globe. I took language classes and learned about international work opportunities, and I knew that this was the path for me. Over the next few years, I found myself working and studying in cross-cultural settings. Whether it was teaching Spanish in Ohio or English in Indonesia, I have been fortunate enough to center global education, equity, and inclusion in my career. I am excited for the opportunity to continue this focus at Boston College and engage with our diverse population of students, faculty, staff, and partners across the globe. Outside of work, you will likely find me obsessing over the latest Marvel or Star Wars film.
