Dr. Ximena Ospina is a proud immigrant, dedicated educational leader, and storyteller whose work is fueled by the pursuit of healing and strengthening the global community. She currently serves as the Director of the Office of Global Education and Senior International Officer at the University of Redlands, where she also holds an appointment as affiliated faculty alongside her teaching role at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies. Dr. Ospina firmly believes in the power of storytelling as a transformative tool for restorative justice, community building, and creating a more just, connected world.

Her scholar-practitioner work is dedicated to co-creating initiatives that increase access to global education and deepen the capacity for collective dreaming in collaboration with campus communities and international partners. Dr. Ospina is the co-architect of the "Generational Dreaming" framework, an innovative approach derived from the co-creators' stories within her 2024 dissertation, which explored Latinx/e student cuentos and the study abroad reentry experience. Her research and practice center on building bridges in which minoritized communities are not just included but integral to the future of global education.

Beyond her professional work, Ximena finds joy in storytelling, connecting with nature, and experimenting in the kitchen—all ways she nourishes curiosity, creativity, and connection in everyday life.
