Advance International Education
Share with Congress International Students' Essential Contributions
A new analysis by NAFSA and JB International shows that international students' economic contributions to U.S. economies this fall dropped by $1.1 billion, costing the country nearly 23,000 jobs, and that their 2024-25 spending dropped 2 percent compared to the record-setting economic activity the year before. We must do more to attract and retain international students, especially as other countries accelerate their proactive recruitment.
Urge Congress to Pass the Keep STEM Talent Act
The administration’s recent actions against international students and scholars threaten to drive away the next generation of global leaders, innovators, and allies. Urge your members of Congress to support the Keep STEM Talent Act, to enable the United States to compete for global talent.
Urge Congress to Restore and Sustain Federal Investment in International Education
To boost our economy, strengthen the global skills of our workforce, and bolster U.S. national security, urge members of Congress to protect and fund international education programs at the Departments of State and Education.
