The January 2011 USCIS Ombudsman Quarterly Update highlights the office’s top priorities, examples of their work as it relates to specific cases, and their current areas of focus which includes continued concerns with the DHS interim rule on professional conduct for practitioners and G-28 requirements. Also included in the update are issues currently under review related to employment authorization document processing, nonimmigrant case processing and communication issues between USCIS and DOS (PIMS), and special immigrant juveniles and unaccompanied minors.
