Each year, NAFSA assembles a selection committee of representatives from recent Simon Award-winning institutions to conduct a peer review of nominations. This committee is comprised of five members and led by a chair.
In addition to their firsthand experience applying for and winning a Simon Award in the Comprehensive category, selection committee members receive training on the Simon Award selection process. The selection committee reviews the nominations to identify institutions that demonstrate successful comprehensive internationalization as well as exemplary programs and initiatives for the Spotlight Award.
