Reinterpreting Internationalization: 2024 and Beyond

Tuesday, May 28, 2024
2:00 - 4:00 p.m. CDT
New Orleans, Louisiana

NAFSA welcomes you to join us at the 2024 Symposium on Leadership on May 28 in New Orleans, a special signature program included with registration for the NAFSA 2024 Annual Conference & Expo. No additional registration or fee required to attend!

As our world becomes increasingly interconnected, higher education institutions (HEIs) must prepare members of their communities for productive global engagement. Internationalization is a key strategy that promotes global awareness and understanding and aids in responding to change. Given ongoing changes, it is important to consider what internationalization looks like in 2024 and beyond. How are HEIs responding to local, regional, national, and international priorities in engaging in internationalization?

Through the symposium’s keynote presentation, panelists’ Q&A, and breakout discussions, attendees will discuss trends in internationalization, including recently introduced definitions relevant to local contexts. Attendees will consider how to adapt approaches to internationalization to their institutional contexts and beyond.

A NAFSA Signature Program offered by the International Education Leadership Knowledge Community.
