Iuliia Hoban, PhD, is an experienced higher education professional with expertise in intercultural and global studies and experience in curriculum design, experiential learning, program design, student mentoring and advising, and teaching. She is fluent in English, Russian, and Ukrainian, and she understands the critical importance of language learning in understanding culture. Having earned a PhD in Global Affairs from Rutgers University and a MA in International Development from the University of Denver, she has a deep academic background and is an aspiring scholar-practitioner. Iulia’s research interests include intercultural communication, conflict resolution, intercultural competence, internationalization at home, and collaboration between domestic and international students.
