The International Enrollment Management Knowledge Community (IEM KC) State of the Field survey is a work in progress to assess the status of the IEM field. The dynamic survey is designed to gather trends, insights, and information from those working in international admissions, recruitment, enrollment management marketing, credential evaluation, intensive English programs, sponsored program administration, and overseas advising while highlighting the most salient issues we face in the profession. The voices shared through this survey are then analyzed to present to the larger community at the NAFSA Annual Conference and Expo.
The survey was part of the 2017 IEM KC work plan with the aim that its findings would serve to inform future KC resources and activities while contributing to the IEM field by illuminating areas of inquiry previously unexplored. Such areas include administrative structures, salaries, and titles of IEM professionals. The inaugural survey was launched in 2017. and the findings were presented at the 2018 Philadelphia NAFSA Annual Conference.
The results of the 2019 IEM State of the Field Survey will be presented in a session at the 2020 Annual Conference in St. Louis, Missouri.
