The Texas State NAFSA Conference 2026

The 2026 Texas State Meeting will be hosted on Friday, March 27, from 8:00 am - 4:30 pm CT at Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, TX. It is for professionals working in international education to learn about updates in the field, share best practices and experiences, and network with colleagues.

The schedule is as follows:

• 8:00 - 9:15 AM Breakfast/Welcome (Registration/Check-In until 11:30 AM)
• 9:30 AM - 4:00 PM Concurrent Sessions
• Lunch/Award Ceremony and Coffee Break included
• Meeting Ends at 4:00 PM

Where do I go when I arrive?

Address: The official address of the Walker Education Center at Sam Houston State University is 1402 19th St, Huntsville, TX 77340.

Parking: There is parking available at the Walker Education Center. The daily cost for parking is $4.25. Please follow the Parking Instructions upon arrival.

Payment options:

Call: Dial 1-877-727-5973 and follow the automated voice prompts. Be ready with your credit or debit card.

Internet: Use your phone's internet browser to register and pay at https://parkmobile.io/

Building Information: Please enter through the bottom floor entrance following the signage once you park. Check-in/registration will be outside the President Sam Houston Room on the first floor. Breakfast and lunch will also be in the President Sam Houston Room and the Governor Sam Houston Room.

Airports: There are two airports in Houston: George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) and William P. Hobby Airport (HOU). IAH is about 1 hour away and 1 hour and 30 minutes away from Sam Houston State University.

Hotels: There are several hotels near The Walker Education Center such as the Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Huntsville, Home2 Suites by Hilton Huntsville, and Hampton Inn & Suites Huntsville. All are within a 5-10 minute drive of the college.

Registration: 

From February 27 through March 26, the regular registration fees are as follows:

• $93 for NAFSA members
• $68 for NAFSA student members
• $68 for NAFSA Life members or NAFSA retired professional members
• $125 for nonmembers

On March 27, the onsite registration fees are as follows:

• $105 for NAFSA members
• $77 for NAFSA student members
• $77 for NAFSA Life members or NAFSA retired professional members
• $140 for nonmembers
