Hotel Information

The NAFSA Region VI 2019 conference will be held at the beautiful Hyatt Regency in downtown Indianapolis, IN October 27-29, 2019.

Rooms are available at the conference rate of $179 per night. To guarantee this rate, please reserve by the cutoff date of Friday, October 4, 2019.

J-1 Advising for Beginners

October 27, 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.

F-1 Student Advising: Advanced
In this workshop, participants apply their knowledge of the federal regulations and collaborate with colleagues on a series of complex case studies. Experiment with structured processes of connecting the facts to the regulations and then presenting decisions to a panel of stakeholders. Active participation is required.

International Credential Evaluation: Post-Secondary-Level Credentials

Introduction to International Education
This workshop will take a comprehensive look at international education and the knowledge communities that make up the field of practice. Learn about each knowledge community and how each contributes to the broader field in higher education. Participants will explore international education using a team based approach to question, reflect and apply the content of the workshop.

Regional Conference Cancellation Policy

Conference registration and/or workshop registration may be canceled with full refund less a $30 processing fee, provided written notification is received any time up until four (4) weeks prior to the conference start date.
