For the last year colleges across the country have been forced to grapple with the possibility that U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officials may initiate an enforcement action on campus. ICE has entered campus buildings and private spaces without judicial warrants and without any prior notice. While such actions are no longer in the headlines, there is no reason to assume that they have ended completely. Institutions must be prepared and vigilant. What can you do to prepare? Join us for this discussion, moderated by Machelle Allman and featuring attorneys Dan Berger and Kerry Doyle. Our starting point will be the recent Chronicle of Higher Education op ed “How to Prepare for When ICE Shows Up on Campus,” authored by Dan Berger and Steve Stephen Yale-Loehr, but we’ll delve deeper into the topic. We also want to hear from you and will address as many of your questions as time allows.
